We’d like to introduce one of our new services, theWPDesigner.co.uk, that’s been running for around six months now as is proving to be quite popular. As the name suggests, it involves bespoke theme designing for the very popular blog/cms platform, WordPress, and is ideal for the small businesses, startups and individuals who have a tight budget, are happy to enter their content themselves and have a slightly restrictive layout compared to our full bespoke website design/development service (where we format/style the content ourselves).

The upgrade process was pretty much straightforward and we’re looking forward to using the new features – this is the first post using the new admin area – we like it!

Earlier this month, Dubbed Creative launched the new website for Sach Photography.

The best way I have found to embed your movie is to use the “insert embedded media” button which will create the correct HTML code necessary for you to embed the movie.

In this tutorial, I’ll be embedding a Flash video from YouTube using the code they provide.

1. View the YouTube code

YouTube provides the URL or embed code to add the movie to your Web page. For some reason, the latter fails to work correctly in the WordPress WYSIWYG editor and so the best option is to use the URL – so copy it!

2.  Adding your movie

First, open the page or post you wish to add the movie too and click the film reel icon in the editor as highlighted below.

You will then be presented with a dialog box asking for the URL of your movie. Paste in the URL we copied earlier and click the Insert button. You will notice that the movie displays in the preview area.

3. Make your finishing touches!

You can then resize the movie by dragging in the corner handles (keep hold of the shift key to ensure the movie’s size remains proportionate).
